I offer Soul Healing therapy, a method blending psychotherapy, mindfulness and hypnotherapy.
This is a powerful tool to explore your past experiences that may still be negatively influencing your present life and that are probably the source of your problematic symptoms.
The aim of Soul Healing therapy is to help you heal from inside out using approaches of psychotherapy, mindfulness and hypnotherapy.
What’s your impression about hypnotherapy?
You may think it is “freaky” because hypnotised people seem to follow instructions easily and lose their control. We see things like this in hypnosis show on TV. You may be worried that you would not remember anything once you are hypnotised.
I was totally suspicious about hypnosis for a long time! How hypnotherapy is used for a therapeutic purpose is actually very different from what you imagine.
What is a “hypnotic” state of mind like?
A hypnotic state is nothing but a calm and relaxed state of mind. It is a mental state when your consciousness is inwardly focused.
The basic mechanism of hypnotherapy can be explained based on neuroscience. Through relaxation meditation and imagination, we first quiet our mind, then use the focused attention induced by meditation for exploring your inner realm on a deeper level.
“Inwardly focused” consciousness is nothing extraordinary. We all have experiences. For example, when we are absorbed with reading books or watching TV, we may not notice that we are called or we may be surprised how quickly time goes by.
This is also a kind of hypnotic state. Even when you are hypnotised, you actually have clear awareness and control of what you say.
Benefits of hypnotherapy and mindfulness practice
A practice of directing our mind inwardly has a lot of benefits.
Our consciousness tends to go outward in our daily life. We stay alert to sense danger, think about what needs to be done, and take consideration for other people etc.
In this awaken state of mind, we are too busy to get in touch with what is actually here inside us.
Soul Healing Therapy is effective in order to shift the outward-directed consciousness into inward-directed consciousness through mindfulness exercise and imagination.
Once consciousness goes inward, you will be able to tap into memories that have been forgotten for a long time, and emotions and sensations attached to them.
The subconscious and unconscious are thought to be located in the limbic area, which deals with long-term memories and emotions.
Soul Healing Therapy is a powerful tool to connect with the subconscious and access the root cause that led to your present issues.
It has transformative power to work through unresolved conflicts in you.
Accessing our innate wisdom
The subconscious is thought of as a treasury of your innate wisdom. It is not bound by the logic, the time, and the space.
The subconscious has the tremendous healing power to bring balance and harmony into all levels of your life on the physical, the emotional, and the spiritual.
Dr. Brian Weiss, a psychotherapist who has made a pioneering contribution to past life therapy, states as follows:
“Regression therapy is the mental act of going back to an earlier time, whenever that time may be, in order to retrieve memories that may still be negatively influencing a patient’s present life and that are probably the source of the patient’s symptoms.”
Soul Healing Therapy helps you communicate with your soul, a divine part within you. It could be the higher self, the light, the God or Buddha for you.
Is Soul Healing Therapy for you?
- Something appears missing in counselling or psychotherapy
- I want to heal my illness on the spiritual level (e.g. cancer, chronic fatigue and pain, migraine, high blood pressure, etc.)
- I want to build both physical and emotional health
- I want to explore a deeper meaning of my suffering and a higher purpose of my life
- I suffer from an irrational fear attached to a specific situation or thing, and you find your anxiety way out of proportion to the actual risk involved
- I have aspects of my personality that I have been struggling to change
- I experience overwhelming sorrow at times
- I am afraid to die
- I want to deepen my connection with my spiritual self
Past life regression therapy
Past life regression therapy started spreading when Dr. Brian Weiss, a psychiatrist in America, published his first book, “Many lives, many masters” in 1988.
In past life therapy, clients are guided into their past lives in a relaxed state. They will revisit several significant scenes of a particular life time.
After revisiting their past life, clients and I review their past life they just saw and explore how that life time influences their current life.
Many people gain deeper awareness and realisation about their present life through remembering their past life.
Some people gain insights into solving their current issues by understanding their life lessons that have been carried over from their past life.
Other people report their persistent problematic symptoms were improved through revisiting past life experience, which may be the root cause of their symptoms.
Age regression therapy
There is a Japanese proverb “What imprinted in you during the first three years of your life has a far-reaching effect until 100.”
What we experience in our childhood makes a direct impact on the way we think, feel and relate to each other in later life.
Our relationships with our parents are especially important. They can become a foundation for a sense of security and trust or the source of fear and anxiety.
Emotional wounds caused by feeling unloved as a child will manifest in various ways.
You may feel worthless, have fear of being abandoned, or feel resentful at people who hurt you.
You may be scared of your own intense anger that you think may hurt others.
You may struggle to build and stay in intimate relationships.
Suppressed emotional pain can also be expressed in somatic forms such as chronic migraine, a stomachache, eczema, high blood pressure, and caner.
Your experience in the childhood has broad impact on every aspect of your life.
Age regression therapy help clients explore their childhood and access memories in the subconscious, which may be related to the cause of presenting problematic symptoms.
Symptoms are a manifestation of unresolved issues
Carl Jung says “A symptom is a creative invitation to our vulnerability.” Soul Healing Therapy aims to discover what has been previously suppressed or rejected and integrate it with a bigger picture.
How soon healing occurs is depending on individuals. Some people need one or a few sessions to resolve their issues, while others spend a period of time together with psychotherapy.
In order to heal yourself, it is not always the case that people need to remember their past painful wounds. You can be healed by tapping into forgotten memories that you were loved.
For healing, it is also important to discover and refocus your attention on what matters in your life.
Your subconscious mind will bring out necessary things for you to achieve deeper happiness and higher growth.
The best possible outcome can emerge when we trust our innate wisdom and allow our subconscious to take us wherever it needs to go.
