The edge is where possibilities reside

No one likes “being on the edge.”

It’s scary.

It’s unsafe.

Consequently we tend to resolve things prematurely so as to avoid this restless feeling.

Through my psychotherapy practice, however, I have come to realise the positive potential inherent in “being on the edge.”

Holding ourselves patiently and staying open to the unfolding process can open a gateway to new possibilities.

I want to share the following quote from “Conversation with God Book 2” by Neale Donald Walsch:

We must all remember that the edge is where the adventure is.

The edge is where new opportunity lies.

The edge is where true creation begins.

The French poet-philosopher Guillaume Apollinaire wrote:

“Come to the edge.”

“We can’t. We are afraid.”

“Come to the edge.”

“We can’t. We will fall!”

“Come to the edge.”

And they came.

And he pushed them.

And they flew.

Let’s choose to fly.
